HOLY, HOLY, HOLY

1 Peter 1:16..."be Holy, for I am Holy"...

I read this in the book "crazy love" by Francis Chan:

"to the Jews, saying something 3 times demonstrated it's perfection, so to call God "Holy, Holy, Holy" is to say that He is perfectly set apart, with nothing or no one to compare Him to."

The revelation I recieved after discovering such truth has burned understanding forever on my heart. I pray it does the same for you!

THINK ABOUT THIS:

If God is HOLY, HOLY, HOLY...and He is perfect and uncomparable to anything or anyone else...

and if that HOLY GOD says "Be HOLY, for I am HOLY"...

Then doesnt that holiness, perfect us in His image so that we too are set apart and no one can compare?

Then doesnt that mean we are perfectly unique, made specifically for a purpose and no one can compare?



QUESTION:

Then why are we always trying to compare ourselves to others?
